Auburn University's Department of Communication and Journalism is currently accepting applications to its Master's program for Fall 2011.
The department has a generalist program which allows students to personalize courses of study in Communication, Journalism, PR, and Radio/TV/Film.
Students can either intern or write a thesis depending on their future career goals. They have an excellent track record placing students in a wide variety of professional positions in organizations ranging from nonprofits and corporate media to government agencies and independent consulting. For those interested in pursuing a Ph.D., recent graduates have been accepted to doctoral programs at outstanding U.S. universities such as Texas (Austin), Purdue, and Kentucky.
Students are encouraged to apply for a graduate teaching assistantship, which provides a generous stipend and tuition waiver. Departmental minimums (GRE, GPA) and deadlines, as well as other department specific information can be found on the department's website http://cla-web.auburn.edu/
