AYCN also invites participants for a full day workshop conducted by Madanmohan Rao, the Editor of The Asia-Pacific Internet Handbook, at the ASEAN Media Forum. Details are as follows:

Workshop Topic: Social Media in Asia: Growth, Opportunities and Challenges

The workshop will discuss questions such as how widespread is social media in Asia? How will it impact areas ranging from news media and disaster relief to entertainment and social entrepreneurship? What are the challenges related to infrastructure, tools, policy and culture? How to start and develop a social media network in ASEAN for regional community building?

The workshop will also be instrumental in coming up with a plan of action for future activities that will contribute towards building a youth news network for the Asia-Pacific community. We welcome all our members to come and participate at this workshop and the media forum.
