My high school was altogether spontaneous, lighthearted and ecstatic. I was an extremely dynamic student when it comes to extra-curricular organizations: pep squad, choir, school publication, debate team, band of musicians… You name it.

But when you ask me about the future career path that I wanted to embark on, I had no definite idea. The visions I had were too naïve and the picture of my future in my head was unclear. Everything was a puzzle until the day I have realized where my heart truly belongs.

When I entered college, I have found myself studying in an exclusive school, taking the not-so-geeky-ish course of Communication. At that time, my mindset on Communication as a field was just like what most people normally think of it: that it is intended for those who despise Mathematics, it is for people who can’t do anything but to talk, and it is nothing but artsy fartsy.

I was clueless that the path I chose was incredibly spectacular. Nobody told me that taking Communication in Miriam College was one of the greatest decisions I have ever made in my life.

Through time, being a student closely working with the media made me learn a lot in my course of study. It taught me more than what a student is supposed to learn inside the classroom. I did not just encounter structures of words, sentences and paragraphs, but I also encountered structures of societies, nations, the world, and life. I did not just meet senders and receivers, but I also met real people with real interesting experiences, and impressive values embedded in their lifestyle.

Moreover, I see Miriam College as one of the prime institutions which specialize on Communication. Our professors are irrefutably masters in their crafts as they teach with excellence and evident experience. They also exhibit notable qualifications in the field, which keeps me assured that they bring us, their students, to the right track.

The awe-inspiring facilities in my school are also what I am truly proud of. It’s not that I am boasting, but the equipments we use in our production classes are undeniably the finest and the most technologically advanced. Whenever I invite students and guests from other institutions and lay organizations, they can’t help but to be astonished by our facilities. Even our foreign guests have been extremely amazed by the developments in our school. I must say, Miriam College has already taken a huge step towards remarkable innovations.

Times have changed. I, myself, have been stunned with how dynamic young women of today can be, as I see how progressive my co-Knollers are. The national and international awards and recognitions that the students achieve, as well as the imposing careers of the alumnae indubitably show the excellence of the education that my beloved Alma Mater offers its students.

I can honestly say that I am happy that I chose Miriam College. With the exceptional education and values that it has been providing me, I have been inspired to be a self-motivated communicator, I have seen the beauty of being a student leader and I have grasped the pleasure in serving other people through my intellect and capabilities. I have seen and realized my potentials and I have learned to think beyond borders.
