My College Experience

It's been three years since I've been graciously been given the opportunity to study in a fine school such as Miriam College. I was lucky enough to get into such a prestigious institution right after high school, and for that I am truly thankful. Not many kids get to the chance to go to Miriam, let alone go to college. God has granted me to be in the position that I am in now. And for that I am eternally grateful for the extensive blessings that He has bestowed upon me.

My life in Miriam has been nothing short of well-lived. I have professors who guide my education carefully and train me to be a model citizen of the country. They not only share their academic knowledge upon their students, they also impart their values. As a Communication student, I yearn to be heard with my various opinions and responses as to how the world ticks. I found Miriam College to the perfect outlet for all my needs in expressing myself. This school is continually nurturing me each day and molding me into the best person that I can be.

I have made many new friends in MC, all of which I will treasure a lifetime. They all have contributed something in my life which strengthened me and shaped me into the person I am today. Imagine, all of these different characters in a giant melting pot of various personalities. All of them so individualistic and yet so glued together because of Miriam College.

My school caters to all of my needs as a student. It has developed in me a greater sense of responsibility as I embark upon each day with a different challenge. The several subjects that I take under the Communication course push me further and further into cultivating my skills. They nurture my strengths and alter my weaknesses. I always find something new to tackle, something different to tickle my brain. It is this constant curiosity and interest that has driven me into becoming a Dean's Lister. My family is so proud of what I have become.

I always do my very best to be active in all the school activities. I give everything my 110%. Whenever any of my friends from the different organizations or courses need help, I am always ready to serve. I devote time and effort into making sure that my fellow students succeed in their own endeavors. I believe that  success is something that should be shared. Everyone should be given recognition for their hard work, and if you could do something to make that happen, then you shouldn't hesitate or think twice in doing so.

As a student, I take full advantage of all of the services offered in Miriam College. We hold all of these state-of-the-art resources that not many schools are fortunate to have. Being a Communication student, I am lucky enough to use facilities such as the TV Production room and Radio room. There, we are taught the different techniques related to media. In other classrooms, we also have overhead projectors, televisions, and computers. The school makes is easy for us to access all of the information we need during classes.

I am looking forward to my last year in Miriam as a senior. I know that there will be many tasks ahead, but I'm sure it won't be anything I couldn't handle. After all, I will be trained under the watchful eyes of my brilliant professors. I anticipate more lectures and class activities that will profile me into a good media practitioner. And on that note, I know that when I graduate, I can apply all of the lessons that I have gained from Miriam College into my future job.
